Each year, Gallery1988 hosts a postcard-themed art show where artists submit actual ready-to-mail postcards celebrating the locations from cult movies. Each time I created a trio of cards that followed a theme: horror-comedies, the Indiana Jones trilogy, and classic slashers. I love finding clever visual ways to represent details from movies and coming up with fun movie-appropriate taglines!
CLIENT: GOOD HOUSE CREEPING
These are a fun series of 2-color Risograph artprints that brings awareness to the safety measures needed to slow down the spread of COVID-19—starring everyone’s favorite slasher movie villains! Even these guys are doing their part, what’s your excuse?
CLIENT: VAGABOND HEART
Travel patches are usually the coolest of the cool when it comes to design projects. I was very excited when Vagabond Heart came to me to develop the artwork for their entire catalog of international iron-on merchandise. You have to represent the destination in an exciting way, keep the colors to a minimum, and not get too detailed (due to embroidery limitations). I’m not much of a traveller, but I’m proud to say I’ve learned enough about a bunch of famous spots to create a few neat patches!
